Drawing has always been an important part of Sara’s life. Every jewelry piece started as a drawing first. But even before she was designing jewelry she was sketching, doodling and making comics. A sketchbook has been her constant companion since high school and she still has the last fifteen+ years of sketchbooks all lined up on a shelf. Recently, she has been returning to her two-dimensional roots and is excited to see where this leads.
These are some of the illustrations I am working on for a mindfulness activity card deck with mindfulness and yoga teacher, Jenn McCullough. Suitable for kids and adults, each will feature a different activity with instructions and a cute animal. The decks will include 26 activities. The front will include instructions and the back an explanation of how to teach it to a child. They will be available in 2021.
You can pre-order a deck at https://jennifer-mccullough.square.site/
Add a cute animal and a yoga pose together and you get Yogimals! This adorable collection is still growing and changing as Sara continues to work with it. It is also what sparked her renewed interest in illustration. What animal and yoga pose would you like to see together?
